West Lyrics

This place that I'll remember
Somewhere in the west
The weather is always warmer
Well there's a girl who loves me best
There's a girl who loves me best
The faces I remember
The names, all the same
The only song I listen to is the sound of the pouring rain
Oh the sound of the pouring rain
But out there in the open, there's a girl who loves me best
It's easy to forget when you're alone
And all the miles are all behind me
Puts my heart to rest
Can't help but wonder when I'm coming homeTime is all that takes
So then I want all I can get
I've been my own worst enemy,
but then again I've been my only friend
I said, I've been my only friendCarry me

Carry me back home again
Would carry me again?
But out there in the open, there's a girl who loves me best
It's easy to forget when you're alone
And all the miles are all behind me
Puts my heart to rest
Can't help but wonder when I'm coming home
