What I Didn't Know Lyrics

I complain, though nothing's even wrong
And you're ashamed, 'cause you're not quite that strong
That's when I said I'll need more than you can offer me
I miss your face, as you can tell I hope my absence makes you well'Cause what I didn't know, is I was killing you
I said a lot of things, that I didn't mean to
But I am older now, and I am sorry too
So I can wait awhile, if I brings me back to youI am shy, I never speak a word
And you are numb, from all the things you never heard
That's when I said I'll need more than you can offer me
And now I own an empty space and I can't fill it with your face'Cause what I didn't know, is I was killing you
I said a lot of things, that I didn't mean to
But I am older now, and I am sorry too
So I can wait awhile, if I brings me back to youThat's when I said I'll need more than you can offer me
I miss your face, as you can tell I hope my absence makes you well'Cause what I didn't know, is I was killing you
I said a lot of things, that I didn't mean to
But I am older now, and I am sorry too
So I can wait awhile, if I brings me back to you

Athenaeum was an alternative pop rock four-piece band from Greensboro, North Carolina, USA formed in 1990 at an eighth grade dance by Nic Brown and Mark Kano. After several personnel changes, Kano and Brown recorded an eight song EP in 1995 with bassist Alex McKinney and lead guitarist Grey Brewster. The "Green Album," as it is widely known, sold about 10,000 copies. In 1996 the band was signed by Atlantic Records. They released their major label debut, Radiance, in 1998. The first single, "What I Didn't Know," was a minor hit.
