What I Learned Out On the Road Lyrics

Headin' for the south lands, lookin' for some fun
Down below that Dixie Mason I know your the one
My tongue is chasin' my eyes are wide, I can see paradise
I been down here once or twice but I never seen it look so nice
Ah, yeah, ah, yeah-e-yeahI like it with the grass cut low
Big mountain tops valley below
I love it when you scream out my name
Kid Rock, what you say?
Kid Rock, what you say?
Kid Rock, what you say?
Kid Rock, yeah'Cause I'm a bad mama jamma from Detroit city
Rock from southern Alabama back to Macanow city
I'm raw and greedy, show me, kitty, I'll lick it
Gimme a slimy and a jimmy I'll stick itPick me up lady or beam me up Scottie
Late night shady let me slip it in your body
I'm a scramblin', ramblin' straight travelin' man
Spreadin' Moejo Sam, please understandFrom Detroit to New Orleans
I love the life but I never sold my soul

All them late nights, and early mornings
Let me show you what I learned out on the road
Let me show you what I learned out on the roadYou know I've tried a thousand times and I've tried to explain
And I've cried a thousand times over things that I can't change
I've learned a lot you know, I grow each passing day
And I blame nobody but myself for mistakes that I have madeHe's a bad mama jamma from Detroit city
Rock from southern Alabama back to Macanow city
I'm raw and greedy, show me gimme, I'll nick it
Gimme a slimy and a jimmy I'll stick itPick me up lady or beam me up Scottie
Late night shady let me slip it in your body
I'm a scramblin', ramblin' straight travelin' man
Spreadin' Moejo Sam, please understandFrom Detroit to New Orleans
I love the life but I never sold my soul
All them late nights and early mornings
Let me show you what I learned out on the road
Let me show you what I learned out on the roadLord knows when your not here, I get so damn bored of me
And I've spent some lonely nights that didn't have to be
And if you could only see, I swear I'd show you true
And although I carry a load out on the road
I wanna come back home to youFrom Detroit to New Orleans
I love the life but I never sold my soul
And all them late nights and early mornings
Let me show you what I learned out on the roadFrom Detroit to Carolina
I love the life but I never sold my soul
From London Town down to China
Let me show you what I learned out on the road
Let me show you what I learned out on the road
Let me show you what I learned out on the road

Kid Rock (born Robert James Ritchie on January 17, 1971), is an American singer-songwriter and rapper from Detroit with five Grammy Award nominations. Kid Rock is known for music that incorporates elements of hip-hop, rap metal, blues-rock, hard rock, southern rock, funk and country.

Kid Rock released several studio albums from 1988 that mostly went unnoticed before his 1998 record 'Devil Without a Cause', released with Atlantic Records, sold 11 million albums behind the hits, "Bawitdaba","Cowboy," and "Only God Knows Why". In 2000, he released The History of Rock which was a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from his previous albums as well as the hit single, "American Bad Ass". In 2001, he released the follow up, Cocky. After a slow start, his country-flavored hit "Picture" with Sheryl Crow resurrected the album and it went gold as a single and pushed the album's sales to more than 5 million. It was followed by 2003's self-titled release, which failed to chart a major hit. In 2006 he released Live Trucker , a live album. In 2007 Kid Rock released Rock N Roll Jesus, which produced a hit in "All Summer Long." It was his first worldwide smash hit, charting #1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia. Rock N Roll Jesus would go on to sell 5 million albums worldwide including being certified triple platinum in the US.

He has sold 22 million albums to date in the United States, which currently ranks him as the 99th best selling music artist of all time in the U.S.
