What If Lyrics

What if happy was a channel we could choose?
What if music ever made it past the blues?
What if god was just a bloke who drives a bus?
What if you and me we spoke and turned to us?What if love was sold in shops upon the shelfs?
And politicians cared much less about themselves?
What if Adam tried and failed to get the girl?
And what if mice are here to take over the world? There's a thing called life... and it's killing me
But there's nowhere else... I would rather be.
So I'll lose myself... in the melody.
Yeh i'll lose myself... there's a thing called life.
What if living in the past was made illegal?
If the world was square and everyone was equal?
What if radio played songs about our lives?
And television shone a light into our eyes?Coz i don't know where we went wrong but it's alright
Just keep listening to the songs inside your mind...There's a thing called life... and it's killing me
But there's nowhere else... I would rather be.
So I'll lose myself... in the melody.
Yeh i'll lose myself... there's a thing called life. What if dreams are our reality... and reality's a dream?

What if we're part of something bigger? There' a script for every scene.
And what if worry made you happy? What if money made you sad?
If tea and coffee got you stoned and all the good guys they were bad?
And what if guns were made illegal? What if weapons were just words?
What if the animals could talk? What if we flew up with the birds?
Coz I've been waiting by the window and I've been staring out the door and I still don't know what on earth we're here for.
There's a thing called life... and it's killing me
But there's nowhere else... I would rather be.
So I'll lose myself... in the melody.
Yeh i'll lose myself....
