What Is Success Lyrics

How does one decide that the methods he's using, they just don't jive
Truly believe and, and trying over and over again
Living in hopes, that someday you'll be in with the winnersWhen should one change his mind and jump the fence for the dial a sign
It's a sad thing, it's a bad thing, but so necessary
In this cold world force your values to become monetary
It ain't necessaryOoh, tell me what it is
Success
Ooh, tell me what it is
Sweet successNow what, what
I don't know, can you tell me what
What is success?
Is it do your own thing? Or to join the rest
Or should you truly believe or keep trying over and over again
Living in hopes, that someday you'll be in with the winnersOoh, tell me what it is
Success
Ooh, tell me what it is
Sweet successOoh, tell me what it is
Success

Ooh, tell me what it is
Sweet success
Ooh, tell me what it is

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
