What Tomorrow Knows Lyrics

Dreams lie smashed again
They've pinned your back to the wall
Like faded pictures of what might have been
Fate is cruel when dreams like candles fade
Smashed again down into the gray
Despise for a world turn cold
No one sees what tomorrow knowsThere's a shame in blind suffering
Dishonor from the inside
Find hope from the voice within
Clear vision from your own mindStand up, you can't escape your past
Mistakes you wear like your skin
You wish you'd never been born
But fools will try just to forget
From where they came
Smashed again down into the gray
Despise for a world grown coldNo one sees what tomottor knows
There's a shame in blind suffering
Find hope from the voice within

Dishonor from the inside
Clear vision from your own mindDreams lie smashed again
Like faded pictures of what might have been
They've pinned your back to the wall
Fate is cruel when dreams like candles fade
Despise for a world turn cold
Smashed again down into the gray
No one sees what tomorrow knowsDishonor from the inside
Find hope from the voice within
Clear vision from your own mind
There's a shame in false victory
There's a shame in blind suffering
False pride all you can't redeem
Clear vision of your won mindDishonor from the inside

Nevermore is an American metal band from Seattle, Washington. Their precise musical style is debated by fans and critics alike. The band incorporates elements from styles such as Doom, Thrash, Power, and progressive metal into their songs, and also makes use of acoustic guitars and a wide range of vocal styles. They started in the beginning of the 1990s, when the band Sanctuary was pressured by its recording label to change its musical style, switching from heavy metal to grunge, which was obtaining mainstream success at the time due to bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
