When He's Gone Lyrics

Stormy nights, and I've been waiting
Satisfy you, oh babe
But his love is just a game
And he's sellng you the same old liesAnd I'm hangin' on the wire
And no closer to the fire
And you don't hear me when I cryYou may need someone to lean upon
When he's gone, when he's gone
And what is left is a love so strong
When he's gone, when he's goneYou wouldn't believe to what extent
My mind is going to
You wouldn't deny me in your dreams
You couldn't belong to someone elseIf you could see me now
And I'd be the only one
When he's gone
When he's goneMy understanding that you remember
For whom the bell tolls, oh babe
I swear to you I pray
That you feel the battle rage

For the saving of my soulAnd it's a struggle to survive
You know it's keepin' us alive
And baby I don't wanna dieI will be someone you lean upon
When he's gone, when he's gone
And what is left is a love so strong
When he's gone, when he's goneYou wouldn't believe to what extent
My mind is going to
You wouldn't deny me in your dreams
You couldn't belong to someone elseIf you could see me now
And I'd be the only one
When he's gone
When he's gone
When he's goneI will be someone you lean upon
When he's gone, when he's gone
(Don't tell me it's too late)
(Your love don't make me wait)And what is left is a love so strong
When he's gone, when he's gone
(I can see the end of time)
(With a love that makes you mine)I will be someone you lean upon
When he's gone, when he's gone
(And tonight I let you know)
(There's a love that won't let go)When he's gone
When he's gone

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
