When I Get It Lyrics

Hello, who's askin'
A bill colllector? He ain't here
All hail, I guess she got me
Well, Mr. Lyman made this perfectly clearWhen I get it, you get it
Times are tough, get in line and wait
When I get it, you get it
And that's all you're gettin' todayNa, na, na
Na, na, naMy ex wife said the door knocked
Lord that woman won't leave me alone
Same question, where's my money?
Well, honey, you can't get luck from a star homeWhen I get it, you get it
Times are tough, get in line and wait
When I get it, you get it
And that's all you're gettin' today, yeahYeah, I'm tryin' to collect
On a fifty dollar bet
My buddy just looked at me
And shook his head
And you know what he saidWhen I get it, you get it

You better back it on up
And get it off of my case
When I get it, you get it
And that's all you're gettin' today, yeahWhen I get it, you get it
Times are tough, get in line and wait
When I get it, you get it
And that's all you're gettin' today, yeahNa, na, na, yeah
Na, na, na, yeah

The Family Man Songfacts says that Georgian native Craig Campbell had already been playing piano at his mother's church since the age of 10 when he formed his band called Out of the Blue. In 2002 Campbell moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he landed a steady gig at The Stage, one of the biggest clubs in the city's famed Lower Broadway and recorded demo sessions for other singers. After meeting and befriending fellow Georgian Luke Bryan, Campbell was persuaded to start writing his own songs.
