When I Give My Love Lyrics

When I give my love
When I give my love to youWhen I give my love to you, baby
(My baby, baby)
I'll show you what love can do yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
When I give my love to you
(When I give, when I give)Baby
(When I give love to you, baby, baby)
I'll show you what love can do
(I will show you my love)
When I give my love to youHush, my baby, baby, don't say a word
I got so much love for you, girl, haven't you heard?
Now I'm on a mission, girl, my intuition
Says you should be mine, I should be yoursWhen I give my love to you
(When I lay, when I lay your body down)Baby, I'll show you what love can do
(I'll show you what a real love feels like, baby, yes, I will, girl)
When I give my love to you
(And in the midnight hour, baby, in the midnight hour, baby)Baby
(You're gonna want me, you're gonna love me)

I'll show you what love can do
(Yes, you will, yes, you will, baby)
When I give my love to youDon't you know, my baby, how much you mean to me?
It don't, baby, take a blind man to see
(I know I can)
And I know
(Treat you right)I can treat you right
I'll give you more love, girl, everything of mine
When I give my love to you
(When I, baby, give my love to you)Baby
I'll show you what love can do
(I'll make you feel like you never did, baby)
When I give my love to you
(When, when, baby)Baby
(When, baby, when, baby)
I'll show you what love can do
(I'll show you what love can do, girl, yeah, baby)
When, when I give my love, my lovin' just to you(When)
You like this, baby
(When I)
(Oh, baby)(When)
Do you like it when we're layin' together
(When I)
(When)
Yeah
(When I)
That's right, baby, get nastyBut I thought that's the way you like that
(When)
See, I understand
(When I)
And you understand that I
(When)(When I)
Sometimes I just lose my mind and the freak
(When I)
Just comes on out of me
Are you ready for this, baby
Come on, babyWhen I give my love to you
(Come on, baby)Baby
(Ooh, ooh, baby)
I'll show you what love can do
(Baby, I won't never, never, never, never do you wrong)
When I give my love to you
(When I give my love to you, girl)Baby
(Ooh, ooh)
I'll show you
(I'll show you)
What love can do
(I'll show you, baby, yes, I will)When I give my love to you
(I'm gonna lay you down tonight)
(I'm gonna make you feel like nobody else could, baby)
I'll show you what love can do
(Come on, baby, let's change positions, baby, whoa, baby)When I give my love to you
(Baby, a-a-all day till the break of dawn)
I'll show you
(Ooh, baby)
What love can do
(All I wanna do is come in and out)When I give my love to you
(Out and in, ha ha, in and out, I'm givin' my love to you)
When I give my love to you
(You won't want nobody else)When I give my love to you
(Yeah, baby, ooh, I'll give you my love to you)
When I give my love to you
(Baby, baby, ooh, ooh, hoo)When I give my love to you
(I'm givin' my love)
When I give my love to you
(I'm givin' my love)

Keith Sweat (born Keith Crier on July 22, 1961 in Harlem, New York), is a popular R&B/soul singer, songwriter, record producer and a major contributor to the New jack swing era. Before becoming a recording artist, Sweat worked for the commodities market in the New York Mercantile Exchange. He sang at nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and offered a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1987.

Make It Last Forever era: 1985-1993

Sweat started his musical career as a member of a well known Harlem band called "Jamilah" in 1975. With the help of Jamilah, Sweat was able to hone his craft as a lead singer by performing regionally throughout the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The group was started by Larry Peebles, a talented bass player from 116th Street and Lenox Avenue, and included several members who came in and out of the group; among those included was Gregory Ross, a well known Harlem keyboard player who currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.

On November 25, 1987, Sweat released his debut album Make It Last Forever, which sold three million copies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Want Her" (#1 R&B/#5 Pop), and the title track from the album was hit #2 on the R&B charts.

Sweat continued to chart fairly well with his sophomore album I'll Give All My Love To You, which hit #6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin debuted in the Top 20 of the album chart.
