When It's Over Lyrics

When it’s over will we have to part, when you leave me will I have a broken heart.
Will you go your way and I’ll go mine when it’s over?
When it’s over.
When it’s over will I have a chance when you leave me and find a new romance?
Will you soon forget the happy day we met when it’s over?
When it’s over.
I can barely think ahead to wonder what will be.
I can’t imagine what tomorrow will see, please don’t leave me.
Now that it’s over you don’t have to go, please just stay here, let me love you more and more.
Can I just pretend if I don’t see you again when it’s over?
When it’s over.

Jan Berry and Dean Torrence began singing together after football practice at University High School in Los Angeles in the late 1950s. Primitive recording sessions followed soon after in a makeshift studio in Jan's garage. They first performed on stage as The Barons at a high school dance. Then they were known as Jan & Arnie. After Dean returned from a stint in the army reserves, the duo began to make music as Jan & Dean in 1958.
