When She Breathes Lyrics

When she comes here, then we'll see
Then we'll know, then we'll breathe
In her shadow, the sun was born
In her shadow, a new world will formWhen she breathes, when she breathes
When she imagines that she breathes in me
When she breathes, when she thinks it once
In the field, steel grass will growAnd from Heaven, she'll rain down the sun
And turn the living into sand
And we breathe her holy air
And we walk this poison placeMade from an emptiness where time was never
Dreamed by one mind so sad as mine
When she breathes, when she breathes
When she thinks it once, when she breathes in me

Swans is a band from New York City, New York, United States, active from 1982 to 1997, reformed in 2010, led by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michael Gira. Marginally associated with the no wave scene at first, their original sound was slow and extremely heavy, with live performances that were often so brutal and physical that in a number of instances certain audience members were made ill, police were called and venues were shut down. This early physical sound is possibly best heard on the live album Public Castration Is a Good Idea.
