When Winter Comes To Town Lyrics

Now it's cold outside,
Feel the wind start to blow,
All the leaves that have changed now,
Are falling to the ground,
You know I love this place,
It puts a smile on my face,
When winter comes to town,
Wake up early for breakfast,
Yeah, but early for me is noon,
I wait forever, the whole year roundYou know I love this place,
It puts a smile on my face,
When winter comes to townNow even time takes it easy,
As I'm walking down the street,
Hear them frozen puddles crackling beneath my feet,
As I'm walking, hear the sound,
You know I love this place,
When winter come to town,
Baby take your clothes out the attic,

Put on this fuzzy little sweater I found,
You know I love this place,
You put a smile on my face,
When winter comes to town.

Pat Green was born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, the eighth of nine siblings. His father was a stage actor, and Green fell in love with the musicals his father acted in. Green began his musical career when he was 18 and in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. "I started playing guitar to pick up the chicks," Green laughs. "Before that, I only sang in the shower. I could mimic other people's voices. It took me a long time to find my own voice, but once I did, I became very comfortable with it. It's not real pretty but it's believable."
