When You Smile Lyrics

I dreamed last night I was born a hundred years ago
But when I woke up I was lost with only one place to go
When you smile, I don't know what to doCause I could lose everything in a minute or two
It's not fair to put you against all of the years behind me
But history kind of pales when you and you are aligned
When you smile, I don't know what to do
Cause I could lose everything in a minute or two
And it seems like the end of the worldWhen you smile
Well there's never been a man who's been anymore than bones in sack
But it doesn't take much to hold the possibilities back
When you smile, I don't know what to do
Cause I could lose everything in a minute or two
And it seems like the end of the worldWhen you smile
When you smile, I don't know what to do
Cause I could lose everything in a minute or twoAnd it seems like the end of the world
Yes, it seems like the end of the world
Yes, it seems like the end of the worldWhen you smile
When you smile

When you smile
When you smile

Concrete Blonde is an alternative rock band dating from the early 1980s to the early 1990s (and re-formed again in the 2000s). They are best known for the poignant songwriting and vocals of Johnette Napolitano. Singer / songwriter / bassist Napolitano formed the band Dream 6 with guitarist James Mankey in Los Angeles in 1982, releasing an eponymous EP in France on the Happy Hermit label in 1983. When they signed with IRS in 1986, labelmate Michael Stipe suggested the name Concrete Blonde, describing the contrast between their hard rock music and introspective lyrics.
