There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Were a studio group assembled by producer Ronald Dean Miller that scored a chart hit in the early 80's with "Do It To The Music" which was released on the legendary New York record label West End. The other members of Raw Silk were former Crown Heights Affair member Bert Reid and three female vocalists, Jessica Cleaves, Sybil Thomas, Tenita Jordan.
