Where We Left Off Lyrics

There's a hotel in my memory
Pink Flamingos and light flickering
From the TV screen
Come lay down here with meYour mom and
Dad are right outside
So we climbed up here so we can hide from
EverythingFrom all the lies that we've lived beneath
Let's pick up
Where we left off
Let's string up everything that we've been afraid ofWe've been living under, we've been taught to remember
And let's
Learn how to love
There's a hotel in your memoryPink Flamingos
And light flickering from the TV screen
Come hide up here with me
Thinking it up is making it real, you create the sceneYou've lived in
For years, it's scary to think
What some lies will make you believe

Rocky Votolato is an American musician. He was born in rural Texas in 1978, though was raised in the Pacific Northwest. When his former band Lying on Loot disbanded in 1996, Rocky Votolato, along with friends Rudy Gajadhar (drums) and Andrew Hartley (bass), started playing under the name Waxwing. Rocky's younger brother Cody (The Blood Brothers) soon joined the band on second guitar, and the band recorded their debut 7" for Henry's Finest Recordings. In 1999, Second Nature Recordings released their first full-length, entitled 'For Madmen Only'.
