Who You Are Lyrics

I went down to the river
at the edge of our town
and i look at the water
and i look further downhey hey should i drive
or can i swim that far
oh thats what do u do when u dont like
who you arewell i know i am not that easy
sometimes i dont even try
but i wish that i love u, before u said goodbye
because i saw those tears falling as you got into the car
oh thats what do u do when u dont like
who you arelove, is it too late
cost, is it too great
in the end, the end , the end, will we have seen
all of our dreamsoh i hear u'been drinking
like you're stealing your fate
and whats worse allyour children may inherit your traits
thats what u said in the bar

and i know
thats what u said, what you said, what u saidi 'd run right to your house and i';; get down on my kneed
and i'll beg your forgivenessand we'll turn off the TV
we'll look up in the stars
oh thats what do u do when u dont like
who you are

Kath Bloom was born and raised in New Haven, CT, where she learned to play guitar among the headstones of her local cemetery. She met avant-garde guitarist Loren Mazzacane Connors in 1976 and together they recorded six limited edition albums of fragile folk and blues melodies between 1981 and 1984.

After her collaborations with Connors, Kath entered a period of child-rearing and family life, returning to recording in the early 90s.
