Who'll Stop the Rain Lyrics

Who'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves onI heard a rumor that fires were started
Flame in the streets and tension uncharted
Bigger than life at the edge of the city
Ashes and diamonds gleaming with pityWho'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves onBetween midnight and dawn, you slept through the deadlines
Believe in me and we'll hit the tall headlines
Look up and laugh, be happy today
Here come the waves, count three and prayWho'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves onA global affair in big house, U.S.A.
A moving violation, angels over Broadway
The next voice you hear will be the main attraction

The next time we love, standby for actionMeet me tonight and love me forever
Let's be happy, let's be famous whatever the weather
The rain must fall and night time is calling
Golden boy and golden girl, it's a great day in the morningWho'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves onWho'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves onWho'll stop the rain?
Who'll stop the action?
East side, west side
The world moves on

Heaven 17 is a British synthpop band originating in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, formed in 1980. Taking their name from a fictional pop group mentioned in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange (where 'The Heaven Seventeen' are at number 4 in the charts with 'Inside'), Heaven 17 formed when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware split from their earlier group The Human League and formed production company British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.). Shortly after, they recruited their good friend and photographer Glenn Gregory on vocals to complete their lineup for Heaven 17.
