Who's Gonna Love Me Now Lyrics

I lie awake at night holding my pillow tight
Wishing you’d come back to me
But till the early dawn, until the setting sun
There is no you…I guess I should see
That you must be with someone else who’s loving you
While I’m feeling sorry for myself crying the blues
(Cho)
Who’s gonna love me now, who’s gonna trust me now
Everybody knows you’re still on my mind
Who’s gonna hold me now, who can control me now
Everybody knows I’m still wild about you
What can I do
With each passing day I take the time to pray just for you
I’m wishing you well
Hoping that very soon I’ll see the day when I’ll be free
From loving you…and from your spell

But till that day I want to know so I ask you now
How in the world can I go on
I can’t see how
(Cho)
Who’s gonna love me now
Who’s gonna trust me now
Everybody knows you’re still on my mind
Who’s gonna love me now
Kiss and hug me now
Now that I’ve been loved by you
(Bridge)
I can remember how we took that sacred vow
Together we would always be
God saints joined us as one
Oh God here I lie alone with a broken heart
I have no one to blame, it’s all my fault
Tell me who, who, who, who
If its not you, if its not you
Who’s gonna love me now, kiss and hug me now
Everybody knows I’m still sold on you
Who’s gonna love me now
Who’s gonna try to start changing my stubborn heart
Who…who…tell me who

A collaboration between Cortney Tidwell & Kurt Wagner. Their first record "Invariable Heartache" came out in autumn 2010. It was an early collaboration on Cortney Tidwell’s Don’t Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up album that led to her and Lambchop's Kurt Wagner performing together at Nashville club The Basement in the summer of 2008. Their cover of Don Williams’ ‘I Believe In You’, a track Lambchop had recorded for their most recent album, OH OHIO, was transformed by KORT’s chemistry into a rowdy, straight-from-the-heart-on-the-sleeve moment of Nashville magic...
