Wicked Act Lyrics

What a wicked act
They're trying to break my back
Oh what a wicked act
Trying to break my backI must entertain
Make sure it's not going in vain
If I don't make social comments
You take no prophet
That means nothing less
Your wealth is lavish
That's what knee deep down inside ...Oh what a wicked act
They're trying to break my back
Oh what a wicked act
They're trying to break my backAfricans should let us live in South Africa
Let the ...
Let the Americans rule America, oh
European state and rule Europe
Africans rule Africa
And the whole world dreadlocks, ohOh what a wicked act

They're trying to break my back
Oh what a wicked act
They're trying to break my backOh, put me in squad
And then fire shot
You lick me first
You lick me firstOur demand must be accepted
How long can you hold on to I and I
Often times I've been carried away, by men
But you slowly losing power
Each and every hourOh what a wicked act
They're trying to break my back
Oh what a wicked act
I'm in a very tight spot
Oh what a wicked act
They're trying to break my back

Black Uhuru is a Jamaican reggae band probably best known for their hits "Shine Eye Gal", "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," "Sinsemilla," "Solidarity," and "What Is Life?". They were the first group to win a Grammy in the reggae category when it was introduced in 1985. They originally formed as 'Black Sounds Uhuru' (the Kiswahili word for freedom). The first line-up of the group was Garth Dennis, Don Carlos, and Derrick "Duckie" Simpson.
