Wild Horses Lyrics

Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things that you wanted
Well I bought them for youGraceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Just slide through my handsAnd wild horses couldn't drag me away
And wild horses couldn't drag me awayI watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
And now you've decided
To show me the sameNo sweeping exits
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkindAnd wild horses couldn't drag me away
And wild horses couldn't drag me awayI know I've dreamt you
A sin and a lie
And I have my freedom
But I don't have much timeFate has been suffered

And tears must be cried
So let's do some living
After we dieAnd wild horses couldn't drag me away
And wild horses couldn't drag me awayAnd wild horses couldn't drag me away
And wild horses couldn't drag me away
No, couldn't drag me away

singer-songwriter Charlotte Martin got her start singing opera while attending Eastern Illinois University in the late '90s. Her father was a respected professor in the music department, and naturally Martin followed his footsteps. She'd been playing piano since she was a little girl and her childhood was surrounded by music. While attending school, Martin experienced "real life," from living with her goth roommate and dealing with typical college-like drama to the tragic suicides of two close friends.
