Wildest Dreams Lyrics

They decorated all the generals
Who fought the war behind the lines
They had forgotten all the soldiers
The brandy puts them way behind the timesInsanity has found its way to TV screens
Vision seems impossible to me
They fight for king and country
I never would have thought this in myWildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Wildest dreamsThe evening comes, we sit and watch the VJs
Clips and rushes come from, who knows where
From Washington across to California
With fighting breaking out in Leicester SquareWe see the soldiers moving on to victory
And children trampled under marching feet
They fight for king and country
How many millions will they put to sleep?Wildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Wildest dreams

Wildest dreams
Fly awayNo, not in this world
No, not in the next
No, not in my wildest dreamsThey recommended euthanasia
For non-conformers anywhere
Some men's dreams for others turn to nightmares
This never would have happened in theirWildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Wildest dreams
Fly awayNo, not in this world
No, not in the next
No, not in the wildest dreams

There is more than one band named Asia.

1) Asia is a progressive rock supergroup formed in the spring of 1981 by bassist and vocalist John Wetton (from King Crimson and Uk), guitarist Steve Howe (from Yes), drummer Carl Palmer (from Emerson, Lake & Palmer) and keyboardist Geoffrey Downes (from Buggles and Yes).

The band sold over nine million albums worldwide with their first self-titled Asia, that include the singles Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell.

In 1990, Asia released its 4th album called Then & Now and only Geoffrey Downes continues with Asia along with bassist, vocalist and producer John Payne until 2004 when they published their 11th album Silent Nation, along with guitarist Guthrie Govan and drummer Chris Slade (from AC/DC).
The band emerged from its ashes commemorating the 25 anniversary of the original formation that brought it success in 1982 with a tour of North America, a DVD and a promotional CD.

Asia returned in 2008 with its first original album from the original line-up with "Phoenix" April 15, 2008, which was followed by a well received tour.

2) Asia was an excellent progressive hard rock band with epic and pomp rock hints. The band is from South Dakota (US) and should not be confused with the famous UK one. They released 2 albums: Asia (1979) and Armed to the Teeth (1980)
