Window Song Lyrics

All the windows are playing their games
Well, I won't see outside again
Until I ride all the fog away
I'm putting words in their placeBetween me and the window's pane
From my inarticulate brain it brings
But all of the fog is erased
When I write all the words thatI never say, I never say
I never say, I never say to youNow the impose won't go away
Distracted by something it says
'Cause you don't see anything
It's just between windows and me
Wait till it rains again and I write all the words thatI never say, I never say
I never say, I never say to youWill you try to release lies, focus hard and give it time?
Who you are a nimble life, religious water washesNow the dirt on the window is showing
I should have drawn something instead
The dirt on the window is showing
I should never have written my nameThe dirt on the window is showing
I should have drawn something instead

The dirt on the window is showing
I should never have written whatI never say, I never say
I never say, I never say to you

Their first album, Letters From Chutney, was recorded under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys, with money won from a rock band search contest on local radio. They changed their name to Finger Eleven for their breakthrough Tip, released on Mercury Records in Canada and re-released by Wind-Up Records in the United States in 1998. The name Finger Eleven comes from an earlier version of the song Thin Spirits from the album Tip.
