Wings Of Liberty Lyrics

Outside of this world there's a life force still burning
Outside of this land there's a star shining free
In silence we stand on golden horizon calling
This time there's a light for us
Still shining so bright for us again
Trapped inside this paradise still bleeding
While there are so many faces in this mask of lies
Blinded by the promises and a life in pain
Now the time has come for all of us to rise
Through the fires of hell between us, through a lifetime of our dreams
Endless tears still burn inside beneath the sadness of our screams
And the years of our forsaken lands
Silent we stand here alone
Nothing to say when the evil finally burns

[CHORUS]We all stand in silence for the wasted and gone
One warrior standing through a thousand year storm
Our past lives still shining, the starlight reveals
Our glory remembered for the power of the steel
And the winter rain will fall around the brave and fallen
Like the sands of endless time they'll never be forgotten
We all stand in silence for the wasted and gone
For the last time we cry now for freedom
Cast aside this dying world forsakes us
Break the chains of all creation now to save our lives
Fire of all eternity and the curse of steel
Like the winter rain we'll tear the blazing skies
From the wastelands of destruction, with the fire we hold inside
Rise again still glorious for the power of all mankind
Through the years of our forsaken lands
Silent we stand here alone
Nothing to say when the evil finally burns
[CHORUS]
SOLOS: HERMAN / SAM / FRED
Through the trials of fire behind us, in the dark and burning skies
Fallen tears still lost inside within the memories of our lives
And the years of our forsaken lands
Silent we stand here alone
Nothing to say when the evil finally burns
[CHORUS]
For the last time we cry now for freedom
Again!

DragonForce is a power metal band that was formed in 1999, from the remnants of black metal band Demoniac under the name of DragonHeart. However, the band soon changed its name to DragonForce before releasing any commercial albums due to possible commercial issues with Brazilian band DragonHeart. Their career began with publishing of songs on the first incarnation of MP3.com, claiming the top of the site's heavy metal charts. The hit song Valley Of The Damned reached over 500,000 downloads in the first few months.

Despite this, two of the original members, Steve Williams and Steve Scott left the band to form power metal outfit Power Quest.

The band has enjoyed increasing popularity over the years, publishing four albums and touring extensively while supporting artists such as Helloween, W.A.S.P. and Iron Maiden. Their 2005 tour in support of the Sonic Firestorm album included support from Angra and Mendeed during their passage through the UK.

On October 28, 2005 bassist Adrian Lambert announced his departure from the band. (Lambert later revealed in an interview that he had left due to musical differences with Herman Li and Sam Totman). Less than a month after Lambert's departure, on November 23th 2005, DragonForce was signed to Roadrunner Records which released their album Inhuman Rampage in 2006. Lambert was replaced in 2006 by Frédéric Leclercq, who was made an official member after a performance on tour.

DragonForce's Through the Fire and Flames is featured as an unlockable bonus song in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for PS2, XBOX360, PS3, Wii & PC. Not including downloadable content, it has been widely perceived as the hardest song in the Guitar Hero franchise.
