Winter Lyrics

The summer was out of sight
We couldn't sleep at night
Shadows were closing in
Back in the dark againBasement, we didn't own
Cut off the telephone
Ceiling was falling down
Winter was underground'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place
Is in our mindsPlace where the water falls
Nobody ever calls
Sky is forever clear
Road never made it hereForests are deep and green
Like nothing we've ever seen
Heavens revolving sin
Seasons change everything'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place

Is in our minds'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place
Is in our minds'Cause there are worlds
That we can find
A hidden place
Is in our minds'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place
Is in our minds'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place
Is in our minds'Cause there are worlds
We can find
A hidden place
Is in our minds

Teenage Fanclub are an indie rock band from Bellshill, Scotland near Glasgow, formed in 1989, and were formerly known as The Boy Hairdressers. They have two generally known humorous nicknames "The Fannies" and "The Bellshill Beach Boys"

Teenage Fanclub are revered for their devotion to chiming, Byrds-esque guitars and harmony vocals. Songwriting duties are shared between the three permanent members of the band, Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love.

In 2006, the band held two special concerts in London and Glasgow, playing their 1991 masterpiece Bandwagonesque in its entirety.

There have been a succession of drummers, including:

- Francis MacDonald (a prime-mover in the C86 scene, later of the BMX Bandits), the drummer in the original lineup, and in a later period
- Brendan O’Hare (later of Telstar Ponies, Thrapple , Mogwai and Macrocosmica)

and

- Paul Quinn (later of The Primary 5), who was later replaced by the returning Francis MacDonald.

Keyboardist Finlay MacDonald (no relation to Francis MacDonald) has also been a member.
