Wires Crossing Lyrics

Pretend that you don't see me
In every girl you meet
And I'll pretend that I'm not looking
For you on every streetI still expect to feel you
Beside me in the night
How long, How long?
Before it starts to feel rightAll the wires are crossing, I don't understand
How I'm slipping and your slipping
From the palm of my hand
All the wires are crossing, I don't understand
I was ready, you were ready
We had a perfect plan
We made this whole city
An island of our love
And now it's just a cube of sugar
Melting on my tonguePretend that you don't need me
I will do the same
One day it'll be easy

To forget who was to blame
For the wires crossing, I don't understand
How I'm slipping and your slipping
From the palm of my hand
All the wires are crossing, I don't understand
I was ready, you were ready
We had a perfect plan
