Witches' Song Lyrics

Shall I see tonight sister, bathed in magic greet
Shall we meet on the hilltop where the two roads meet
We will form the circle, hold our hands and chant
Let the great one know what it is we wantDanger is great joy, dark is bright as fire
Happy is our family, lonely is the wardSister, we are waiting on the rock and chain
Fly fast through the airwaves, meet with pride and truthDanger is great joy, dark is bright as fire
Happy is our family, lonely is the wardFather, we are waiting for you to appear
Do you feel the panic, can you see the fear?
Mother, we are waiting for you to give consent
If there's to be a marriage, we need contemptDanger is great joy, dark is bright as fire
Happy is our family, lonely is the wardRemember death is far away and life is sweet

Marianne Faithfull (born 29 December 1946 in London) is an English singer-songwriter and actress whose career spans more than four decades. Her early work in pop and rock music in the 1960s was overshadowed by her struggle with drug abuse in the 1970s. After a long commercial absence, she returned late in 1979 with the highly acclaimed album, Broken English. Faithfull's subsequent solo work, often critically-acclaimed, has at times been rather overshadowed by her personal history. From 1966 to 1970, she had a highly-publicised romantic relationship with Rolling Stones' lead singer Mick Jagger.
