With Body and Soul Lyrics

See that train coming round the bend
Carrying the one that I love
Her beautiful body is still here on earth
But her soul has been called up aboveBody and soul, body and soul
That's how she loved me, with body and soulHer beautiful hair was the purest of gold
Her eyes were as blue as the sea
Her lips were the color of summer's red rose
And she promised she would always love meBody and soul, body and soul
That's how she loved me, with body and soulTomorrow as the sun sinks low
The shadows will cover her face
Her last sun goes down, she's laid beneath the ground
And my teardrops are fallin' like rainBody and soul, body and soul
That's how she loved me, with body and soul
That's how she loved me, with body and soul

Bill Monroe (September 13, 1911 – September 9, 1996) developed the style of country music known as bluegrass, which takes its name from his band, the "Blue Grass Boys," named for his home state of Kentucky. Monroe's performing career spanned 60 years as a singer, instrumentalist, composer and bandleader. He is often referred to as "the father of bluegrass." In the rock (and roll) community, Bill Monroe may be best known via one of Elvis Presley's earliest recordings at Sun Records, that of Monroe's 'Blue Moon of Kentucky'. Patsy Cline also made a highly regarded version of this song.
