Won't Be the Last Time Lyrics

I'm not going to say I don't deserve it
Like all those other times
I'm not going to claim to know what happened I don't
Even know how I got home that nightMaybe I said some things I shouldn't
Maybe I caused a scene
Maybe I broke myself a promise
That I never meant to keepIt won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
It won't be the last timeThe first time I found love
Lord I was young and I was mean
And I took just what I wanted
From that pretty little thingAnd I never told her that I loved her
I could see the want in her eyes
The last time that I saw her
Is when we waved goodbye that nightIt won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
It won't be the last time

It won't be the last timeNow when I was young
I was dumb and I was crazy
Now I'm getting old
And I feel this world closing in on meOn a Sunday mornin' sidewalk
Just wishing Lord that I could sleep
I got my hands down in my pockets
Cause I'm shakin' like a leafIt won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
It won't be the last time
