Write Your Story (David Thulin Remix) Lyrics

They say
You're the King of everything
The One who taught the wind to sing
The Source of the rhythm my heart keeps beatingThey say
You can give the blind their sight
And You can bring the dead to life
You can be the hope my soul's been seekin'I wanna tell You now that I believe it
I wanna tell You now that I believe it
I do, that You can make me new, ohI'm an empty page
I'm an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your markAuthor of my hope
Maker of the stars
Let me be Your work of art
Won't You write Your story on my heartWrite Your story, write Your story
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Won't You write Your story on my heartMy life
I know it's never really been mine

So do with it whatever You like
I don't know what Your plan is
But I know it's good, yeahI wanna tell You now that I believe in
I wanna tell You now that I believe in
In You, so do what You do, ohI'm an empty page
I'm an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your markAuthor of my hope
Maker of the stars
Let me be Your work of art
Won't You write Your story on my heartWrite Your story, write Your story
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Won't You write Your story on my heartI want my history
To be Your legacy
Go ahead and show this world
What You've done in me
And when the music fades
I want my life to sayI let You write Your story, write Your story
Write Your story, write Your storyI'm an empty page
I'm an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your markAuthor of my hope
Maker of the stars
Let me be Your work of art
Won't You write Your story on my heartWrite Your story, write Your story
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Won't You write Your story on my heart

Francesca Battistelli (born May 18, 1985) is an Italian-American christian musician from New York City, New York. She was originally an independent artist and had released an independent album, just a breath, in 2004. Her first studio album on Fervent Records, My Paper Heart, was released on July 22, 2008. According to the Free To Be Me Songfacts, "Free To Be Me" was released as the second single from the album and it shattered records in becoming the most added song by a female artist in Christian radio history and holding the #1 slot for ten consecutive weeks. Battistelli received her first Grammy Award 2009 nomination for "Best Gospel Performance" for the single.

Between the release of her debut album My Paper Heart and its follow-up Hundred More Years, Battistelli married Christian band percussionist Matthew Goodwin and gave birth to her first child, Matthew Elijah. According to the Hundred More Years songfacts Battistelli chose to title her sophomore record after the track "Hundred More Years" because the tune's subject matter of a couple falling in love and having their first child mimiced her own life. Hundred More Years was released on March 1, 2011.

Francesca Battistelli is no stranger to the stage. Raised by parents immersed in the arts and Broadway, she developed a love of music, theatre, and performance at a young age. But instead of using these talents for applause and accolades, Francesca prefers to point people to something beyond herself --towards hope in Christ. Her soulful piano-pop sound resembles a blend of her music interests -- jazz, rock, gospel and R&B -- woven beautifully together with themes of trust and risk-taking. In a noisy world filled with sounds and images, we cry out for an authentic voice--one who is not afraid to speak truth and purpose to a generation. In singer/songwriter Francesca Battistelli, we have found that voice.
