YMCA Lyrics

Young man, there's no need to feel down
I said young man, pick yourself off the ground
I said young man, 'cause your in a new town
There's no need to be unhappyYoung man, there's a place you can go
I said young man, when you're short on your dough
You can stay there and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good timeIt's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A
They have everything for young men to enjoy
You can hang out with all the boysIt's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
You can get yourself clean you can have a good meal
You can do whatever you feelYoung man, are you listening to me
I said young man, what do you wanna be
I said young man, you can make real your dreams
But you've got to know this one thingNo man does it all by himself
I said young man, put your pride on the shelf
And just go there to the Y.M.C.A.

I'm sure they can help you todayIt's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
They have everything for young men to enjoy
You can hang out with all the boysIt's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
You can get yourself clean you can have a good meal
You can do whatever you feelYoung Man, I was once in your shoes
I said I was, down and out with the blues
I felt no man cared if I were alive
I felt the whole world was so jiveThat's when someone came up to me
And said young man take a walk up the street
There's a place there called the Y.M.C.A.
They can start you back on your wayIt's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.
Young man, young man there's no need to feel down
Young man, young man pick yourself off the groundY.M.C.A. and just go to the Y.M.C.A.

There are multiple artists tracked as “The Lollies” on Last.fm.

1. German covers band also tracked under Lollies

2. Simple. On Point. Fast. Melodic. These four fellas come from the Community Records home base of New Orleans, Louisiana. They have been working daily on perfecting their tunes, practicing five or more times a week. The extra effort has led to them finding a sound that they can call their own and an ambition to take on the world with free music and touring as much as possible. If you’re a fan of abrasive, singable, well-crafted pop-punk, you will be happy you found these tunes. Community Records will be releasing their first full length, self-titled album for free in July 2011. They will also be featured in the 2011 Block Party DVD. Three cheers for progress!

3. London-based British-Canadian/American indie-pop / riot grrrl band of the late 90s/early 00s comprised of Rachel Angel (keyboards), Matthew Lazowski (drums), Jane Mountain (bass, vocals) and Kate St.Claire (guitar, vocals). The Lollies' back catalogue includes the Bang Bang Bang Lookout Lookout Lookout e.p., a split single with Gossip, Bangs, and Sarah Dougher for the original Ladyfest 2001 UK tour, a duet with Chris T-T on Evil World and a full length album, Taste on Fortune and Glory. The Lollies charted several songs on college radio in Canada and toured the UK extensively. After the band broke up in 2003, Kate St.Claire went on to form Shimura Curves. Read more on Last.fm.
