Yellow Butterfly Lyrics

Will you ever see me
Like a possible lover again?
I am fed up to be your twin brother
You're not my sisterAnd every time
I think of that, I want to
I wanna say to you
I wanna talk to youWhen I look into your eyes
I see a yellow butterfly
When I look into your eyes
I see a yellow butterfly
Flying high in a beautiful
Summer skyEvery time I look into your eyes
I see a reflection of me
A distorted vision
Of realityDon't waste your time
Trying to find a meaning
To everything
You might get disappointedI'd really like to experience

Something personal
Something I would never hear or feel
In someone else's songI often get the feeling
That there's something missing
I wish I were that yellow butterfly
Sparkling in your eyesDon't waste your time
Trying to find a meaning
To everything
You might get disappointedI think you should know better by now
I think you should know betterIn the back of my mind
There are so many things I don't want you to know
I don't want you to know
In the back of my mindThere are so many things I don't want you to know
In the back of my mind
There are so many things I don't want you to know
I don't want you to knowI think you should know better by now
I think you should know betterI should know better
(Yellow butterfly)
You should know better
(Yellow butterfly)When I look into your eyes
When I look into your eyes
When I look into your eyes, eyes
Yellow butterfly

Formed by multi instrumentalists Xavier Boyer, Médéric Gontier, Sylvain Marchand & Pedro Resende, Tahiti 80 ’s adventure began in the French cities of Rouen and Paris in the mid 90s. Singer/ guitarist Boyer and bassist Resende formed the pop combo as students at the University of Rouen, sharing an affinity for indie music, new wave and sixties pop. Taking their name from a souvenir t-shirt given to Boyer's father in 1980, the duo recruited guitarist Mederic Gontier, and with the addition of drummer Sylvain Marchand a year later, the lineup was complete.
