Yellow River Lyrics

So long boy you can take my place
Got my papers, I got my pay
Pack my bags and I'll be on my way
To yellow riverPut my gun down, the war is won
Fill my glass now, the time has come
Going back to the place that I love
To yellow riverYellow river, yellow river
Is in my mind and in my eyes
Yellow river, yellow river
Is in my blood, it's the place that I loveGot no time for explanations
Got no time to lose
Tomorrow night you'll find me sleeping underneath the moon
At yellow riverCannon fire lingers in my mind
I'm so glad I'm still alive
I've been gone for such a long time
From yellow riverI remember the nights were cool
And I can still see the water pool
And I remember the girl that I knew

In yellow riverYellow river, yellow river
Is in my mind and in my eyes
Yellow river, yellow river
Is in my blood, it's the place that I loveGot no time for explanations
Got no time to lose
Tomorrow night you'll find me sleeping underneath the moon
At yellow riverYellow river, yellow river
Is in my mind and in my eyes
Yellow river, yellow river
Is in my blood, it's the place that I loveGot no time for explanations
Got no time to lose
Tomorrow night you'll find me sleeping underneath the moon
At yellow river

Middle of the Road are a pop group from Scotland who enjoyed great success across Europe in the early 1970s. They had three major hits in the UK singles chart, all of them bubblegum pop classics: "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" (Number 1), "Tweedle Dee Tweedle Dum" (Number 2) and "Soley Soley" (Number 5), all in 1971. But in other European countries, their success continued well into 1972 and 1973, with songs like "Sacramento", "Samson and Delilah", "Bottom's Up" and "The Talk of All the USA".
