Yesterday In Parliament Lyrics

Yesterday in parliament
You got the honourable this
The honourable that, and
Nothin' so eloquent
As a little bit of mis-
Understanding, and a lot of chat
Something you wanna say?
Don't address it to me
You gotta see your MP
He's gonna to take up your case today
Do civilised people always act this way?Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha, ha ha.Oh yesterday in parliament
We got shoutin' down the front
And shoutin' up the back an'
Come on gentlemen, settle down at the front
Sit down at the back
' There's something you wanna say?
Well address it to the House in the usual way
I know you want to have some fun

But civilised people ought to get things done.Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha, ha ha.Blame Jesus for all the trouble in the world today
Blame anybody you like
But don't blame the government of the day.Oh yesterday in parliament
We got rhetoric elective, a little bit of cynicism
Nothing heaven sent
Just a mere hint of socialism, lotta conservatism
' Nothing I wanna say
To make any changes let's keep it this way
There's nowhere I wanna go
I'm enjoying my breakfast and this radio show.Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha, ha ha.INSTRUMENTALThere's nothing I wanna say
To make any changes let's keep it this way
There's nowhere else I wanna go
I'm enjoying my breakfast and this radio show.Ha ha , ha ha, ha ha, ha ha
da da da, da da da da da
da da da, da da da da
da da da, da da da da da
(and fade).

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

Clifford Thomas Ward - Born 10 February 1944, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire — 18 December 2001 Clifford T. Ward typified the early 70s bedsitter singer-songwriter with a series of albums that were at best delightful and at worst mawkish. Ward left grammar school before A-levels to work as a clerk, but by 1962 was fronting local beat group Cliff Ward and the Cruisers. The group changed their name to Martin Raynor and the Secrets and made their recording debut for EMI Records in 1965, before recording several more tracks as the Secrets for CBS Records.
