Yesterday's News Lyrics

Well travellin' to the point that I, I can't stop it
Get so familiar, never get enough
Talk about it all the time, just drop it
Damage on your pretty little eyes says it allI can't stand to be under your wing
I can't fly or sink or swim, it's a lot like fallin' down
Standin' up and I'm fallin' down, your my cup 'til I understand
Wait a minute and see the pieces don't fit this timeWell, yesterday's news is what I have been readin'
See you at the Comet and I end up needin'
Know if you were thinkin' it, it could have been
If it was nothin' it's 'cause nothin's what you didI can't stand to be under your wing
I can't fly or sink or swim, it's a lot like fallin' down
Standin' up and I'm fallin' down, your my cup 'til I understand
Wait a minute and see the pieces don't fit this timeWell, I can't stand to be under your wing
I can't fly or sink or swim, it's a lot like fallin' down
I'm standin' up and I'm fallin' down, your my cup 'til I understand
Wait a minute and see the pieces don't fit this time

Whiskeytown was an alt-country band from Raleigh, North Carolina founded in 1994 and fronted by Ryan Adams along with violinist Caitlin Cary. The band produced a number of albums before ultimately parting ways in 2000. Other members of the group included guitarists Mike Daly and Phil Wandscher, bassist Steve Grothmann and drummer Skillet Gilmore. Adams and Cary have publicly talked of reuniting Whiskeytown on multiple occasions, as recently as 2005, but as of yet, nothing new has materialized. The two did perform together briefly, along with Skillet Gilmore, on June 8, 2005, in Raleigh.
