Yesterday's Winner Is a Loser Today Lyrics

The world loves the winners
But someone must lose
There's bound to be someone
Left with the bluesSo why should I worry
When you go away
Yesterday's winner is a loser todayNow I now that I find this
Heart to play fair
But somehow I wonder
If you really careWas it love that you gave, dear
Or just foolish play
Yesterday's winner is a loser todayNow I know there was someone
In your life before
And I'm sure it's that someone
That you still adoreOh, I wish it was different
But there's no other way
Yesterday's winner is a loser todaySo goodbye, little darling
I'm sorry we met
It's easy to love

But so hard to forgetJust remember my story
Here's all I can say
Yesterday's winner is a loser today

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
