Yo Baby's Daddy Lyrics

Everybody ready?Been together for a little while and I knew that you had child
When I first met ya girl it was cool knew that you were special to me
We were makin' all kinds of plans takin' walks and holdin' hands
Thinkin' 'bout the future you and I would have togetherBut your baby's dad he don't wanna see you happy
So that means no you and me he's talkin' on the telephone
Won't let it be talkin' that shit about me
What am I to do about it baby?He say that he don't care 'bout us he miss his son
And he wanna come around
But when he do, he stresses you
'Bout what you do just to start a fightYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meSay it again, nowYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meI'm tired, upset, I'm mad he got me so angry
When I heard what he said about me, baby
He's tellin' you that I'm tryin' to

Take away his son and you know that is a lieHe say that he don't care 'bout us he miss his son
And he wanna come around
But when he do, he stresses you
'Bout what you do just to start a fightYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meYo' baby's daddy he's always trippin'
He don't wanna let it be can't stand seein' you happy
Tryin' to break up you and me but I won't let him
Yo' baby's daddy always gotta fuck with meStop, now bounce
Tired of that man he don't wanna leave us alone, no
He don't wanna see you happy baby
He didn't want you when he was with you, but now
Now you got your thang goin' on he wanna tear it apart, yeah
Why don't he leave us alone?

Dave Hollister, cousin of music act K-Ci and JoJo, started developing fame as a musician in the early 1990s. Some of his biggest early appearances were with 2Pac on tracks like "Brenda's Got A Baby."

His next big move was when he was signed to Teddy Riley's R&B group BLACKstreet in 1994. He worked with the group on their first album and then left the group to pursue his own solo career. He was signed to DreamWorks Records and began working on an album.

In 1999, Hollister released his first albumm, Ghetto Hymns. The album was successful, going gold, and creating one hit single, "My Favorite Girl." "My Favorite Girl" reached #10 on the R&B charts.

Hollister's follow-up album, Chicago '85... The Movie was released in 2000. The album was an autobiographical work and went gold. "One Woman Man" the album's biggest single, reached #8 on the R&B charts.

For his third effort, Hollister moved to Motown Records. He hoped the new label would instill new energy into his music. The album, Things In the Game Done Changed was released in 2002 and faired poorly on the charts and radio.

As a result of the album's shortcomings, Hollister returned to DreamWorks where he released Real Talk in 2003. Following the album's release, Hollister moved to Gospo Centric.

Hollister is reportedly wrapping up his fifth album in the industry, The Book of David: Vol. 1 The Transition. The album will be coming out on September 26, 2006 from Gospo Centric.
