You Are in My System Lyrics

Day by day and night by night I feel you in my mind
It happens all the time you know my day dreams stop
My heart beats on I can't take it any more
It's you I live forYou are in my system, you are in my system
Don't you, don't you, don't you know that?I will keep on pushing, pushing until I get through
My main objective, baby is to get to you
To turn your mind around I know will take time
But you know I can wait now, you're on my mindOh babe, you are in my system
I just want you to know that you, in my system
Got me burning, I'm on fire, oh, in my system
Everything I need you, in my system
Don't you, don't you, don't you know that, babe? It's a romantic vision of me and you
It happens all the time, my dreams are filled with you
There's no doubt in my mind that I'll be true babe
You know I'll take you out and I'll keep loving youYou, you're in my system
Cut me right down to the wire you, in my system
Just want you to know that ooh, you are in my system, system
Got me burning, I'm on fire you, in my systemCan't make me believe you aren't

You, you're in my system, system
Got me burning, I'm on fire
Girl, you are in my system
Everything I need is you

Robert Allen Palmer (January 19, 1949 – September 26, 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, was a British singer. He was known for his soulful voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, reggae, blues, and even yodeling.

His eighties hits were promoted by particularly striking award winning videos, featuring an all-female, black-clad backing band. The memorable videos, directed by Terence Donovan, featured heavily on MTV and played a large part in his transatlantic success.

His eighties success was kickstarted by his participation in supergroup The Power Station, along with Andy Taylor and John Taylor of Duran Duran and Tony Thompson of Chic.
