You Are the Queen Lyrics

I'm a king among men down at the 'Just Say When'
My loyal subjects raise a glass and send a pint my way
But when I leave my throne to the castle I go home
I stroll across the drawbridge and this is what I sayYou are the queen and you're the only queen
That there has ever been
You rule my very soul, I'm worthless on my own
Your majesty will always be supreme
And I don't deserve the pleasure and the privilege to serve
Yeah, they might call me king but that don't mean a thing
'Cause you are the queenIn ol' Egypt, the pharaoh had to walk the straight and narrow
Back when Cleopatra had her day
'Cause he wouldn't get no kissin' until he'd sit and listen
To every word ol' Cleo had to say
Said, mighty Samson to Delia and Arthur, Guenevere
I'll tell you everything you wanna hear
But like any other king just don't mean a thing
'Til I can see the kingdom as I whisper in your ear
Oh, babyYou are the queen, you're reigning down all over everything

Your highness's devine, you use it all the time
Your humble servant I'll always be
So please judge me fair
And from your darkened dungeon I'll be spared
I've laid my armor down, I thrown away my crown
'Cause you, you are the queen

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

BR549 is an American country music band. The group was formed in Nashville in 1993 by co-leads Gary Bennett and Chuck Mead. Their music, referred to as alternative country or neotraditional, contains elements of western swing and rockabilly. They eschew modern Top 40 pop-country for a more raw, honky-tonk sound, with songs about 50s pin-up/dominatrix Bettie Page and The Ramones. They took their name from a telephone number regularly used in a Junior Samples sketch on the television show Hee Haw.
