You Brought a New Kind Of Love Lyrics

If the nightingales could sing like you
They'd sing much sweeter than they do
For you brought a new kind of love to meAnd if the sandman brought me dreams of you
I'd want to sleep my whole life through
You brought a new love to meI know that I'm the slave, you're the queen
Still you can understand that underneath it all
You're a maid and I am only a manI would work and slave the whole day through
If I could hurry home to you
You brought a new kind of love to meI'm hit that I'm the slave, you're the queen
Still you might understand that underneath it all
You're a maid and I am only a manI would work and slave the whole day through
If I could hurry home to you
You brought a new kind of love to me

Robin McKelle (b. 1976) is a U.S. singer of jazz, blues, and soul. She was born Robin McElhatten in Rochester, New York. She is often compared to Ella Fitzgerald for her alto register, and has shared a stage with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Michael McDonald, and Bobby McFerrin. Her musical style is more influenced, however, by Ray Charles, Nina Simone, or Donny Hathaway. She has released two big-band jazz albums, followed by one that featured more blues/soul music in 2010, and a fourth that focussed on soul.
