You Don't Hear (Re-Recorded) Lyrics

Lately you spent a lot of time at parties
Your head held high in a world of make believe
You don't hear a word that I tell you
And I can see you no longer care for meYou don't hear a word that I'm sayin'
May as well be talkin' to the ceilin'
I want you to know how much I love you
I talk to you all the time but you don't hearIf you'd stop for a minute and listen
You would save yourself a lot of tears
Your party pals won't love you like I do
I've tried to tell you but you don't hearYou don't hear a word that I'm sayin'
May as well be talkin' to the ceilin'
I want you to know how much I love you
I talk to you all the time but you don't hear
I talk to you all the time but you don't hear

During the 1950s she was the only female vocalist to consistently hit the top of the country charts and her stardom was on the same level as the biggest male vocalists of the period. Wells' success in the 1950s and 1960s was so enormous that she still ranks as the sixth most successful female vocalist in the history of the Billboard country charts according to historian Joel Whitburn's book "The Top 40 Country Hits"...
