You Said Something Lyrics

On a rooftop in Brooklyn
At one in the mornin'
Watchin' the lights flash
In ManhattanI see five bridges
The Empire State Building
And you said something
That Ive never forgottenLean against railin's
Describin' the colors
And the smells of our homelands
Acting like loversHow did we get here?
To this point of living
I held my breath
And you said somethin'And Im doin' nothin' wrong
Ridin' in your car
Your radio playing
We sing up to the eighth floorA rooftop, Manhattan
One in the mornin'
And you said somethin'

That Ive never forgottenYou said somethin'
You said somethin'
You said somethin'
That was really important

Polly Jean Harvey, born October 9, 1969 in Yeovil, United Kingdom and raised in nearby Corscombe (Dorset), is an English singer-songwriter. She has recorded as a solo artist under the name PJ Harvey, but she began her career as part of a trio (with drummer Rob Ellis and bassist Steve Vaughan), also named PJ Harvey, in 1991. Early material released by the trio on Dry, 4 Track Demos and Rid of Me was praised by critics for its raw, guitar-driven sound and sharp-witted, melancholic lyrics.
