You Take Yourself With You Lyrics

I hate this town, I can't even count the reasons
Don't know where I'm bound, I know is that I'm leaving
Down a dusty road that's been calling me for years
Daddy just shook his head, mama was fighting back the tearsI said, "Time to go, there's ain't nothing left but leaving"
When you know you know, you just can't fight that feelingYou can climb the highest mountain, go where no one's ever gone
On a crowded city sidewalk, you might find yourself alone
In the middle of the desert, anywhere the wind blows
Son, you take yourself with you wherever you goGot a taste of the city life, those rollin' hills
Man, them L.A. nights, gave this country boy a thrill
But it never felt right like I ever fit in
So I kept moving on, now it's time to roll againWhen it's time to go, there's ain't nothing left but leaving
When you know you know, like the changing of the seasonsYou can climb the highest mountain, go where no one's ever gone
On a crowded city sidewalk, you might find yourself alone
In the middle of the desert, anywhere the wind blows
Son, you take yourself with you wherever you goNow I found out the hard way, and I made my own mistakes
But my Daddy's words were with me every step of the wayYou can climb the highest mountain, go where no one's ever gone
On a crowded city sidewalk, you might find yourself alone
In the middle of the desert, anywhere the wind blows

Son, you take yourself with you wherever you go
Now you take yourself with you wherever you go
Oh, yeah

Bo Bice has music in his blood. Born Harold Bice in Huntsville, Alabama on Nov. 1, 1975, Bo was raised in the south by his song-singing, instrument-playing, music-worshiping parents. He competed in the fourth season of American Idol and was the runner-up to Carrie Underwood.

Bo's first album, titled The Real Thing, was released on December 13th, 2005. It includes several original songs on which Bo shares writing credit such as “It’s My Life”, which Bo wrote with Clif Magness and Kara DioGuardi.

Bo's second album, "See The Light" was released October 23, 2007. It was recorded in his own studio, and under his own independent record label, Sugar Money (teamed up with StratArt for that project). The album was co-produced by Bo and Frank Liddell. The songs (all written by Bo, some in collaboration with friends) reflect a diverse spectrum--from all-out southern rock, country, funk, to emotional ballads.
