You Take the Devil Out of Me Lyrics

Come rise you greater men
Still of mind and dark within
They won't come, they won't face the question.A small meal, the meat of hog
Just pay the man then fetch my dog
They won't come, they won't face the questionNow he's southside
A long way down
As i think about it now he's
On the other part of town
His prayers are light
His form is down
As i think about it now he's
On the other part of town.
There's markings on her hand
So her lover understands what working
On the sounds without her around will allow him, will allow him
Will allow himTake the knife, the folly blade (there's markings on her hand so her lover understands)
Cut inside, scorch your way (what working on the sounds without her around will allow him, will allow him)
These tracks are no places to play (will allow him, will allow him)

Pray move aside
Please step awayTake the knife, the folly blade (there's markings on her hand so her lover understands)
Cut inside, scorch your way (what working on the sounds without her around will allow him, will allow him)
And i will never never never fall
And i will never never never fall
I'm followed by a mighty sage (there's markings on her hand so her lover understands)
He whispers to me night and day (what working on the sounds without her around will allow him, will allow him)
That i will never never never fall
That i will never never never fall

Crippled Black Phoenix are a rock band from the United Kingdom. Several musicians have contributed to Crippled Black Phoenix's albums and play with them during their live shows. They are a collective of musicians from many other bands (including notably Iron Monkey, Gonga, Mogwai, Electric Wizard and others). In 2004, Justin Greaves began recording primitive sounds he had in mind for years. He was encouraged by Dominic Aitchison, and their ideas would lay the backbone for Crippled Black Phoenix.
