You Won't Know Where You Stand Lyrics

I wanna walk with you in someone's shoes
From somebody else's point of view
It looks like I'm changingI wanna be the star without the skies
We'll be running, running, running with the same old crowd
And I'll be myselfAnd I can't begin to tell you
He says, if there's money on your mind
And the drugs don't work
As you'll be lying on your own
You won't know where you standI'm a selfish man in a selfish world
There's a world we choose and a friend we lose
It looks like I'm changingI've been told to sit down when I just stand up
It wouldn't mean that much just to hear me say
That I've been myself
I'm all of yourselfAnd I can't begin to tell you
He says, if there's money on your mind
And the drugs don't work
As you'll be lying on your own
You won't know where you standAnd I can't begin to tell you

He says, if there's money on your mind
And the drugs don't work
As you'll be lying on your own
You won't know where you stand

Aquilo is an English duet conformed by Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher and based in Silverdale, Lancashire. Tom and Ben were originally the frontmen in rival bands in their hometown. Higham was jumping around on stage making heavy metal while Fletcher was thrashing out melodic grunge rock. Higham then started producing tracks solo – just him and his guitar. Fletcher, too, started putting his solo songs on SoundCloud. Tom and Ben are neighbours. So, after stumbling across Fletcher's music online Higham suddenly thought he could start making music with "that lad across the road".
