You and Me Both Lyrics

The guardrail is tempting me
Standing like a sentry to the left of me
its guarding adventure thats certain to be
Life threatening, life threatening
I need a tragedy to wake me
From perpetual dreaming
From proverbial pinch me
Im so sick of sleeping,
Im so sick of sleepingAnd you wonder why my eyes dont leave my phone
Its no wonder that you feel like youre alone
I think I need a new story
One where I take on the world
The one Im living is boring
Its killing you and me bothThe car crash in front of me
Pulls me back from deep and desperate fantasy
Snaps me wide-awake to see the horrible scene
Whats happening? Whats happening?
Is this the tragedy I asked for?

Is this blood on my hands a consequence of my own war?
I am so sick of sleeping, I am so sick of constantly needing moreAnd you wonder why my eyes dont leave my phone
Its no wonder that you feel like youre alone
I think I need a new story
One where I take on the world
The one Im living is boring
Its killing you and me bothAnd you watch every time
As I give myself to death and neglect life
And I blindly desert the plot line you deserve. And you wonder why my eyes dont leave my phone
Its no wonder that you feel like youre alone
I think I need a new story
One where I take on the world
The one Im living is boring
Its killing you and me both
Its killing you and me both
Its killing you and me both

The Classic Crime is a Seattle-based alternative rock band. They released their Tooth & Nail debut album, 'Albatross', in 2006. It marked the fastest first-week sales for a new artist in the history of T&N. The band members are Matt MacDonald (vocals), Justin DuQue (guitar), Robert "Cheeze" Negrin (guitar), Alan Clark (bass), and Paul "Skip" Erickson (drums). While touring in support of their full-length album Albatross, the band created the Acoustic EP: Seattle Sessions, which was simply a compilation of songs they created while on the road.
