You'd Have Never Said Goodbye Lyrics

It's hard to believe
That one night brought me here
If I'd never said that word
I'd have never wasted all these years
My friends say, think of all that I'd missed
If we'd never met
They don't know that's the stuff
I've been trying to forget
If I'd never gone to Dallas
If I'd never lost track of time
If I'd never missed my plane
Had to stay another night
If I'd opened my hotel door
Just as you walked by
I'd have never said hello
You'd have never said goodbye
It's been three weeks
Twenty-one days without a word

I guess if you were coming back
I'd have already heard
I keep thinking about all the things
That I wish I's never done
It's so clear to me now
I can name them one by one
If I'd never gone Dallas
If I'd never lost track of time
If I'd never missed my plane
Had to stay another night
If I'd never opened my hotel door
Just as you walked by
I'd have never said hello
You'd never said goodbye
It could have all been different
Well, there's no way of knowing
But I'm sure today
It's safe to say
My heart would not be broken
If I'd never gone to Dallas
If I'd never lost track of time
If I'd never missed my plane
Had to stay another night
If I'd never opened my hotel door
Just as you walked by
I'd have never said hello
You'd have never said goodbye
You'd have never said goodbye
You'd have never said goodbye
