Your Dark Sunglasses Won't Make You Lou Reed Lyrics

it started out when you were young
you wandered too high to stay out of the sun
first album of the velvet underground
in your desperate need it did resoundyour dark sunglasses won't make you lou reed
your dark sunglasses just make it hard to see
gray tinted technicolor
rebellion on sale
your dark sunglasses won't make you look like...
john cale
sterling morrison
or even... doug yule
morning breath and baited claims
you don't want the knowledge you just want the names
meanwhile life outside goes by
those silly little frames made in taiwan
molded petroleum
rock star wrong
who's never even written a song

your dark sunglasses won't make you lou reed
your dark sunglasses just make it hard to see
gray tinted technicolor
rebellion on sale
your dark sunglasses won't make you look like...
john cale
sterling morrison
or even... doug yule

Bill was one of the founding members of the band SOUND TEAM and current leader of Sunset (formerly {{{Sunset}}}). His own material pursues experimental approaches to folk / pop / ambient. Much of his work can be found on his bandcamp page, here. Bill has been writing and playing songs for a while. The early songs were "lo-fi" and contained numerous recording experiments. Lots of backwards flange pedal. These tapes were given to friends and sold to foes. "Sounds great, Bill," they would smile out the words through gritted teeth.
