Your Heart Is an Island Lyrics

your heart is an island(1)
your heart is an island, on a sea of regret
so cold and so lonely, no love can grow there
Once before in your past, someone hurt you I know
your heart is an island, where no love can grow
(cho)
Yet you're so afraid,of any mans touch
But darling I wouldn't hurt you,
Cause I love you too much
So let me cross over , to that island in your heart
And the love that I bring you
Will bloom on it's shorehope this is correct, I have never heard hank locklin sing this
heard it a few years ago by someone else
