Your Mama Should've Named You Whiskey Lyrics

Just a little taste
Won't hurt at all
But once I get a sippin
Know I'm gonna wanna drink it gone
All gone
Ninety proof is an understatement
I get around you and I'm way past wasted
I can't think at allYour mama should've named you Whiskey
I never should've let you kiss me
And every time you leave it hits me
Your mama should've named you WhiskeyGirl you got a smile like the devil on my shoulder
Tempted me saying, "Honey come over now"
Right now
I know I shouldn't wanna
But I think I'm probably gonna
Even though I know I'm gonna be
Waking up hurting in the morning
Should've come with a warningYour mama should've named you Whiskey

I never should've let you kiss me
Yeah and every time you leave it hits me
Your mama should've named you WhiskeyI'm addicted girl
I'm hanging on
I'm a fool in love
I'm long past gone
Yeah so come onYour mama should've named you Whiskey
And I never should've let you kiss me
Oh and every time you leave it hits me
Oh baby
Your mama should've named you WhiskeyI'm addicted girl
Such a fool
I'm addicted girl
Such a fool

Luke Bryan grew up in the very small town of Leesburg, Ga. Back home, he helped his father with his peanut and fertilizer businesses while playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors. Yet he can remember his mother urging him to belt out George Strait songs over and over while she drove him into town to shop. By age 14, his parents bought him an Alvarez guitar. By 15, his father would take him down to a nearby club, Skinner's, where he shared guitar licks and lead vocals with other local country singers.
