Your Secrets Keep You Sick Lyrics

We had talked for hours in the corridor
The things you said they took my breath away
If all that you can offer me is seven years of unsettled memories
I guess, we've got a lot to talk aboutAnd I know now
What I've found outThis is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sick
This is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sickWe had talked for hours in the corridor
The tears we shed, they washed our pasts away
This wretched heart has haunted me
Through far too many foregone memories
We've got a lot to talk aboutAnd I know now
What I've found outThis is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sick
This is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sickAnd when she cries she screams inside
Her secrets can't be told
And when she lies she screams at night

'Cause your secrets keep you sickAnd I know now
What I've found outThis is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sick
This is poison, this is poison
And your secrets keep you sickDon't take this lying down
Tell me every thing's fine

A group plagued by major-label woes and break-ups, that was exactly what was essential for The Fold’s resilience: healing. Evolving from several Chicago-based rock outfits including Warner Brothers signees, Showoff, it seemed The Fold’s previous groups were in a place most musicians only dream of…and then things changed. “I suppose I gave up a lot when I left a major label band to start The Fold,” explains the band’s frontman and founder, Daniel Castady, “but if I did, it was because I knew that those things were passing away.”
